Its quick, easy and yummy snack for kids. A  simple jam and bread with a new twist for kids tiffin boxes.

I have used jam. You can use any chutney, ketchup or sauce instead of jam .???

I’m sharing a very simple recipe with u all..

Ingredients :

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp. Any kind of jam

  1. Remove the edges of the bread.
  2. Flatten it with a rolling pin.
  3. Spread jam on one side of the bread.
  4. Do the same thing and prepare one more bread.
  5. Place both bread together. ( jam side up).
  6. Make a tight roll.
  7. Cut the roll with knife.
  8. Pinwheel sandwich is ready to eat

How to make Veggie Open Toast ?

Veggie Open Toast ?

It is a quick and easy breakfast item. A good snack for anyone when in a hurry.

I am sharing my way of making yummy Veggie Open Toast the easy way…

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup roasted suji/ semolina
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 to 8 white or brown bread slices
  • Butter or ghee to grease the tawa

Method:

  1.  Take roasted suji in a big bowl. Add rice flour, curd, oil, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, ginger chilli paste, chilli powder, onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot, coriander leaves and salt. mix well. Add water until the mixture thickens and keep aside for 15 mins.13819352_10209948580141963_535281151_n
  2. Spread veggie mixture on bread slice properly.
  3. Heat non stick tawa or pan on slow flame and spread some butter.
  4.  Place bread slice on tawa. Put it mixture side down.
  5. After 2 minutes spread butter and flip onto the other side.

How to make Bombay masala toast Sandwich (Without Toaster)..

Bombay masala toasted sandwich (Without Toaster)

It is simple to make and delicious in taste. A quick snack for anyone when in a hurry.

You don’t have toaster at home!!!    no worries…. you can still make Bombay toasted sandwich on skillet (tawa) by following this simple procedure.

Sharing my way of making yummy and crispy  Bombay masala toasted sandwich the easy way…

Ingredients :

For Potato Masala:

  • 4 to 5 medium Boiled Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp  cumin powder
  • 1 Medium sized chopped onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

For Sandwich:

  • 8 to 10 Bread Slices
  • Butter

Method:

To make Potato Masala:

  1. Heat oil, add asafoetida and cumin Seeds. After cumin seeds changed colour add chopped onion.
  2. Saute till it become golden brown.
  3. Add ginger chilli paste and saute it.
  4. Add  red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt to taste and mix well.
  5. Roast till the oil separates from the sides of the pan.
  6. Add mashed potatoes and mix well.2016-05-24 11.55.33
  7. Add lemon juice and garam masala powder. Adjust spices as per your taste.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.2016-05-24 11.56.12
  9. Potato masala is ready to use.

To make sandwich :

  1. Heat non stick tawa or pan on slow flame.
  2. Spread some butter.
  3. Place bread slice on tawa and spread potato masala on bread slice properly.2016-05-24 11.56.53

  5. Now place flat dish and a heavy weight on top of it.12966605_10209196974952303_1602893644_n
  6. After 2 minutes spread butter and flip onto the other side.2016-05-24 11.57.29.jpg
  7. Roast both the sides on slow flame till it become crispy.
  8. Cut it and serve with tomato ketchup or chutney. ..yum2016-05-24 11.59.16
