How to make Spicy Chicken Curry..

This spicy chicken curry is very simple to make in maharashtrian style using roasted coconut. Taste delicious with Vade (fried flat bread) mainly known as “Kombdi- Vade”. I learned this curry  from my mother. Its all time favourite in our house.

I want to share this simple recipe with you all….

Ingredients :

  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies
  • Whole Spices – 2 Bay Leafs, 1 Cinnamon Stick, 4 Cloves, 4 Black Pepper corns
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 2 Medium sized Onions
  • 1/2 kg Whole Chicken Pieces
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Malvani Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 cup Grated Coconut (Dry/ Fresh)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped Coriander for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom non stick pan. Add Bay Leafs, Cinnamon Stick,  Cloves,  Black Pepper corns, pinch of Asafoetida and chopped onions. Saute till it become golden brown.

  3. Now add Red Chilli Powder, Malvani Masala, Turmeric Powder, Coriander powder, Cumin powder and salt to taste and mix well.12467738_10208289542187051_679626884_n

  5. Add 1 cup hot water. Keep lid and cook on slow flame.
  6. Another side in a small pan dry roast coconut on slow flame. After cooling down grind in a smooth  paste.12467759_10208289540787016_2093856756_n
  7. After the chicken is cooked, add coconut paste in chicken, and simmer on slow flame.
  8. Add dry red chillies,  lemon juice and mix well.12511588_10208289541307029_488730581_n
  9. Adjust water and spices as per your curry’s thickness.
  10. Sprinkle Garam Masala and garnish with coriander leaves on your curry after the chicken is cooked and switch off the flame.12506644_10208289541147025_979342850_n

How to make yummy Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)…

Yummy Restaurant style Butter Chicken at home. Simple to make and Delicious in taste.

Roast chicken fillets in tandoori masala and add into gravy….?

Showing easy recipe as follows..

Ingredients :

For Chicken marination…

  • 10/12 Chicken fillets (Boneless)
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • 2 tsp Tanduri Masala
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter and oil for frying

For Gravy

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Stick Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tsp Chilli -Ginger -Garlic paste
  • 2 Medium Onion sliced
  • 3 to 4 Tomatoes slices
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 5/6 Cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp Kasuri methi
  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

  1. Marinate boneless chicken with curd, ginger garlic paste, tanduri masala, red chilli powder, lemon juice, kasuri methi and salt for at least 2 hrs.13936686_10210111946346016_578322677_n

  5. For making Gravy, heat oil in a heavy bottom pan and add sliced onions.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes, cashewnuts and salt.
  7. Saute it and cook for 10 min on slow flame with lid.13956804_10210128995252228_1072377401_n
  8. After cooling down grind in a smooth paste.
  9. In a heavy bottom pan heat butter on slow flame.
  10. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, chili powder, turmeric powder and chilli-ginger -garlic paste.Saute it.

  15. Garnish with coriander leaves, cream and butter.
  16. Yummy Butter Chicken is ready to eat. Serve with Chapati, Jeera Rice or Naan.

How to make Spicy Chicken Potato Curry..

Spicy chicken potato curry is very delicious and is simple to make.

Potatoes enhance the flour and thickness of the curry.  Enjoy this yummy curry with Rice, Bread, Roti or Chapati.

I want to share this simple recipe with you all….

Ingredients :

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Whole Spices – 2 Bay Leafs, 1 Cinnamon Stick, 4 Cloves, 4 Black Pepper corns
  • 2/3 crushed Garlic cloves
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 3 to 4 Medium sized Onions
  • 1/2 kg whole chicken pieces
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2/3  Potatoes cut into smaller cubes
  • 1 medium size Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander for Garnish

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom non stick pan. Add bay leafs, cinnamon stick,  cloves, black pepper corns and pinch of asafoetida.
