How to make Prawns Fry..

Spicy Prawns fry is a yummy fish dish and can compliment any curry or rice. Its very easy to make.

It is basically fish marinated with spices and shallow fry with rice flour coating.

Recipe as follows:

Ingredients :

  • 18 to 20 medium size Prawns
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp vinegar/ lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Clean the prawns and wash properly.
  2. Marinate prawns with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, vinegar and salt. 12804492_10208669425243890_256437073_n
  3. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Take rice flour in a dish and add a pinch of salt. mix well.
  5. Coat both the sides of the marinated prawns with rice flour properly.
  6. Heat oil in heavy bottom shallow pan on slow flame. Arrange prawns in pan and let it fry on one side.12784769_10208669425723902_2030603582_n
  7. Flip prawns after one side has fried.
  8. Fry both the sides on slow flame till it become golden brown.

How to make crispy Bombil Fry/ Bombay Duck Fry

Spicy and crispy bombil Fry is a yummy fish dish and can compliment any curry or rice. Its very easy to make.

It is basically fish marinated with spices and shallow fry with suji coating.

This is a recipe of making yummy Bombil fry the easy way…

Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 Bombil/Bombay duck
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup suji/ semolina
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Clean and cut, and slit the Bombil fish and wash fish gently.13576577_10209796604302662_1942876165_n

  3. Remove excess water from the dish.
  4. In a bowl take red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix all the spices well.

  6. Keep marinated fish pieces for around 30 minutes.
  7. Take suji in a flat dish. Coat both the sides of marinated fish with suji properly.
  8. Heat oil in heavy bottom shallow pan on slow flame.

How to make Green Mint Chutney / Pudina Chutney

Green Mint Chutney is easy to make with few ingredients. You can eat it with any pakoda or snack item. Any savory items tastes delicious with this chutney.

Simple recipe of making green chutney as follows..

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1/4 cup thick curd
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. In a mixer griander take all chutney ingredients.
  2. Add some water if required and makes smooth paste.

How to make Restaurant style Yummy Tawa Paneer Tikka ??

Restaurant style Yummy Paneer tikka is made on the gas stove. It is simple to make at home and delicious in taste.

Marinate paneer cubes and veggies in spices and fry on a non-stick skilet.

Delicious Paneer Tikka Served with Green Mint Chutney. ..

Showing quick and easy recipe as follows..

Ingredients :

For marination

  • 500g Paneer
  • 1 red Capsicum
  • 1 green Capsicum
  • 1 big Onion
  • 1 big Tomato
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 tsp Tandoori Masala
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter and oil for frying

Method:

  1. Cut paneer into cubes and onions into pieces.

  3. Take curd in a big bowl, add  gram flour, turmeric powder, tandoori masala, kashmiri red chilli powder, ginger- garlic paste, lemon juice, kasuri methi and salt. Mix well.  Add paneer cubes , capsicum, tomato and onion pieces. 15879069_10211608637602362_2146814798_n

  5. Arrange paneer cubes, onion, tomato pieces and capsicum pieces on bbq stick.

  7. Fry on slow flame untill its colour changes to golden brown from all the sides.

How to make yummy Mini Fenugreek Pancake / Methi Chilla / Chanka

It is a quick and easy-to-make healthy snack item.  Its a spicy blend of fresh fenugreek leaves and gram flour. Easy to make yummy side dish during meal. Delicious pancake can be made with just a few ingredients.

Sharing very simple recipe with you..

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup fresh Methi / Fenugreek leaves finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup gram flour/ besan
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger-chilli paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Water as per requirement
  • Oil to grease the pan

Method:

  1. In a big bowl take finely chopped methi leaves, finely chopped onion , gram flour, rice flour, ginger-chilli paste, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,  asafoetida, garam masala powder, oil and salt to taste and mix well.   15058010_10211070525269890_1386148205_n 15086204_10211070525389893_375732221_n
  2. Add water and make a thick  paste with no lumps. Adjust the consistency of the mixture to make a batter.

  4. Heat a non stick tawa or dosa pan on medium flame. Grease the pan with oil.

How to make Veggie Appam

 It is very easy to make and a very healthy snack for kids tiffin or can be accompany with a cup of tea.

Appam patra is used to fry Appam. It uses less oil thus it more healthy.

You can do variations by adding any finely chopped veggie. Taste delicious with coconut chutney

Here is the recipe of yummy, spicy Appam,  I want to share with you..

Ingredients :

for making batter:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup whole, skinless black gram (urad dal)
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger -chilli  paste
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method :

  4. Then add coarsely grinded rice.
  5. Keep for fermentation 7 to 8 hours.

  2. Add ginger chilli paste, chopped onion, grated carrot and salt.
  3. Mix well.

  5. Add few drops of oil in each mould and pour a spoonful of batter.
  6. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.

Quick and easy-to-make healthy breakfast or snack item. Its kind of a pancake .

Delicious chilla can be made with just a few ingredients. Add oatmeal and spinach to make a power packed breakfast

My way of making Oatmeal Spinach Chilla is as follows..

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup instant oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup gram flour/ besan
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp ginger-chilli paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Water as per requirement
  • Oil to grease the tawa

  1. In a big bowl take instant oatmeal, spinach, gram flour, ginger-chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and rice flour.
  2. Add salt to taste and mix well.

  5. Now add lemon juice and mix well.

How to make mouthwatering Ragada Patties

Ragada Patties

This is one of my Favourite Chaat item

Its a mouthwatering street food of Mumbai.
It is basically potato patties served with white peas or green peas curry, chutney and some spices …. Yumm

I’m sharing a simple recipe with you all….

Ingredients for Serving Ragada Pattice: 14551012_10210602828577765_1285807972_o

  • 10 to 12 Potato Patties
  • 2 cups White/ Green Peas Ragada
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Date Tamarind Chutney
  • 2 tbsp Mint Coriander Chutney
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Tomato
  • 1/2 cup sev
  • Pinch of Chaat Masala
  • Pinch of Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Raw Mango Pieces (If its available)

 

Recipe for making Potato patties as follows:

Ingredients :

  • 4 Boiled Potates
  • 1 tsp Chilli and Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • Salt as per taste
  • oil for frying

Method :

  1. Mash boiled potatoes with potato masher.
  2. Now add chilli and ginger paste, turmeric powder, chaat masala,  garam masala, corn flour and salt as per taste. Mix well. 14528283_10210629199437020_988445680_n

  4. Heat non stick pan on slow flame. Add a few drops oil and fry the patties.14522028_10210609953635887_1906064823_o

Recipe for making Ragada as follows:

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Dried white peas/Green peas
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1  Tomato
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Chopped coriander for Garnish

Method:

  1. Wash white peas 2 to 3 times properly with tap water . 14543340_10210629199077011_1362665056_n

  3. Rinse again with fresh water.
  4. In a pressure cooker add white peas. Add enough water and some salt.
  5. Heat cooker on medium flame.
  6. After 3 to 4 whistles, switch off the flame and let it cool down.
  7. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
  8. Add pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  9. Add ginger garlic paste and saute it.
  10. Add grinded tomatoes and all dry spices like (red chilli powder, turmeric powder)  saute masala till it separates from the oil.
  11. Add boiled white peas and coat well with mixture.
  12. Add 1 cup hot water. Keep lid and simmer on slow flame.
  13. Add lemon juice and salt.
  14. Adjust water and spices as per your curry’s thickness and mix well.
  15. Switch off the flame and sprinkle garam masala.

Yummy Ragada is ready to serve.

 

Method of Serving Ragada Patties :

  1. Arrange Patties in any plate you like.
  2. Pour Ragada all over the patties .
  3. Add sweet date tamarind and  mint coriander chutney.
  4. Add chopped onion, tomato, raw mango pieces.
  5. Sprinkle chaat masala and red chilli Powder.
  6. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
  7. Serve Hot.

How to make delicious Kesar Suji Halwa

Kesar Suji Halwa
Everyone’s all time favourite Kesar Suji Halwa is a very quick and easy dessert to make. Its very simple yet delicious in every bite with a delicious smell.  It is made on auspicious occasions like a pooja.  My kids love it and request me to make it again and again.

Here is the recipe want to share with you all…

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts like cashews and almonds
  • Few saffron stands (Kesar)
  • Some raisins

Method:

  1. Make hot milk and water (boiling), and keep aside.
  2. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of hot milk and keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan on slow flame.
  4. Add suji and roast till it change its colour to light golden brown.12546105_10208336959932465_737378055_o

  6. Pour hot milk and hot water carefully as it splutters. Add more hot water if required.12506990_10208336919771461_1858603432_n
  7. Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 min. The suji will soak all the water.

  10. Keep for some time then serve.

Its quick, easy and yummy snack for kids. A  simple jam and bread with a new twist for kids tiffin boxes.

I have used jam. You can use any chutney, ketchup or sauce instead of jam .???

I’m sharing a very simple recipe with u all..

Ingredients :

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp. Any kind of jam

  1. Remove the edges of the bread.
  2. Flatten it with a rolling pin.
  3. Spread jam on one side of the bread.
  4. Do the same thing and prepare one more bread.
  5. Place both bread together. ( jam side up).
  6. Make a tight roll.
  7. Cut the roll with knife.
  8. Pinwheel sandwich is ready to eat
