How to make Crispy Namak Pare (Khari Shankarpali)…

My kids favourite snack Namak pare (Khari Shankarpali ) .

It is easy to make, crispy snack recipe. Make and enjoy with cup of tea.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup All purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder 
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as required

Method:

  1. Take all purpose flour, cumin seeds, black pepper powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Add oil, Mix well till get crumbly texture.
  3. Now add little water at a time and start kneading the dough. Dough should not be too tight or soft.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  6. Other side heat the oil in a pan on slow or medium heat for frying namak pare.
  7. Once again knee the dough. Divide it and make big circle with rolling pin.

  9. Cut into diamond or square shape using cutter or knife.

  11. Keep pieces on dry cloth.
  12. Once oil is hot enough, add pieces of namak pare in the oil.14374643_10210509447323292_172115109_o
  13. Fry till it become golden brown on slow flame.

  15. Then can keep in a airtight container.
  16. Enjoy with tea !!!!!

How to make perfect yummy Semolina Pudding/ Suji Halwa (Ravyacha Sheera)

This is my first post and want to start with some sweet to add on my blog. Everyones all time favourite Suji Halwa is a very quick and easy dessert to make. It is made on auspicious occasions like Satyanarayan pooja.

 My kids loved it and demand me to make it again and again. Here is the recipe want to share with u all…

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts like cashews and almonds
  • Some Raisins

Method:

  1. Boil milk and water, and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan on slow flame.
  3. Add suji and roast till it change its colour to light golden brown.12546105_10208336959932465_737378055_o

  5. Its time to pour hot milk and hot water carefully as it splutters. Add more hot water if required.12506990_10208336919771461_1858603432_n
  6. Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 min.
  7. Suji will soak all the water.
  8. Now add sugar and mix well till it leave the edge of the pan.12571353_10208336956852388_919100517_n

  10. Keep for some time then serve.
