It is a perfect blend of chocolate and vanilla flavours. Very easy to make and a very good snack for kids or can be accompany with a cup of tea.
I Celebrated my Hubby’s birthday with this yummy and moist Eggless Zebra Cake.
Sharing my simple recipe with you all…
Ingredients :
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup curd
1 tsp vinegar/ Lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil or melted unsalted butter
1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
5 tbsp milk
A pinch of salt
Method:
Preheat your oven at 170 to 180 degree C.
You can use hand blender to blend all the ingredients quick and easily.
Take the curd in a big bowl add sugar, vinegar, oil, 2 tbsp milk and vanilla essence and make a smooth paste.
Sieve all the dry ingredients. All purpose flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Now in a bigger bowl add dry ingredients into wet ingredients in a small batch. Mix with cut and fold method.
Mix well. Add more milk if batter is too thick.
Devide the batter into 2 equal portions. Add cocoa powder and 2 tbsp milk in one of the batter.
Grease a 8” Baking tray with oil. Place butter paper/ parchment paper on the bottom of the tray or dust with flour.
In the middle of the pan Pour 2 tbsp. of each batter one by one at a time to create layers.
Repeat process till the end.
Use wooden stick to get desired design. (I moved wooden stick from the border of the pan to the middle of the pan and then in between in that lines moved stick from middle of the pan to the border )
Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
Place the tray inside an oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
To check if it is cooked, insert a tooth pick and it should come out clean.
Let it cool and Enjoy cake with tea…yum yum.

I am sharing my way of making delicious, mouthwatering Shahi Gulab Jamun ..
Its a detailed Recipe with step by step pictures. .
Ingredients :
To Make Sugar Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Pinch of saffron strands
Other Ingredients :
150 grm Shahi Gulab jamun mix
1/2 cup milk
Ghee for deep frying
Method:
To make sugar syrup take sugar and water in a pan. Boil it till you get 1 thread consistency on slow flame.
Add cardamom powder, lemon juice and saffron strands.
Take Shahi Gulab jamun mix in a bowl and add milk into the mixture and make a dough.
Adjust milk quantity to make smooth dough.
Apply some ghee on your palm and make small round shaped balls from the dough.
In a deep fry pan heat ghee on slow to medium flame.
Fry the balls on slow flame till it turns golden brown.
Remove fried Gulab Jamuns from pan and add them into the sugar syrup.
Soak in a warm syrup for at least 1 hour.
Yummy Shahi Gulab Jamuns are ready to serve.

Kesar Suji Halwa
Everyone’s all time favourite Kesar Suji Halwa is a very quick and easy dessert to make. Its very simple yet delicious in every bite with a delicious smell. It is made on auspicious occasions like a pooja. My kids love it and request me to make it again and again.
Here is the recipe want to share with you all…
Ingredients :
1 cup suji (semolina)
1 cup ghee
1 cup sugar
1 cup hot milk
1 cup hot water
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 cup chopped nuts like cashews and almonds
Few saffron stands (Kesar)
Some raisins
Method:
Make hot milk and water (boiling), and keep aside.
Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of hot milk and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan on slow flame.
Add suji and roast till it change its colour to light golden brown.
Add crushed nuts and roast for a min.
Pour hot milk and hot water carefully as it splutters. Add more hot water if required.
Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 min. The suji will soak all the water.
Now add sugar and mix well till it separates from the edge of the pan.
Finally add cardamom powder, saffron milk and raisins and mix well.
Keep for some time then serve.
You can mould the suji halwa into any shape using a cup or just your hands.
Perfect Kesar Suji Halwa is ready….enjoy!!!

I am sharing my way of making Kesar Khoya Modak .
Here is the recipe for you all
Ingredients :
1 cup khoya
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup warm milk
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
10 to 12 saffron stands
Method :
Take warm milk in a bowl. Add saffron stands and keep aside for 10 mins.
Heat a heavy bottom non stick pan on slow flame.
Add crumbled khoya and roast for around 2 minutes.
Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron milk.
Mix it properly until there are no lumps.
On a slow flame, stir continuously.
Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Now switch off the gas and let it cool completely.
Now take modak mould and fill it with mixture. Press hardly and make shapes gently…
Modaks are ready to offer to God Ganesha ..
To store, put it in an airtight container, and then into the refrigerator.
Enjoy yummy and delicious modak
