How to make Yummy and Delicious Besan Ladoo

These ladoos are  usually make on festival days.

I made these Ladoos on the occasion of Diwali. Celebrated this Diwali with these small ladoo diyas. 

It is yummy and delicious Traditional Indian sweet. Its very easy to make with very few ingredients.

Sharing very simple recipe with you..

Ingredients :

  • 1 and 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 3/4 cup ghee
  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Coarse grounded nuts ( Almond, Pistachio nuts and Cashew)
  • Some Raisins and cashew

Method :

  1. In a heavy bottom non stick pan add ghee.14895709_10210950963360917_106673041_o
  2. Add gram flour and roast on slow flame. The gram flour will absorb all the ghee. 14963446_10210950963640924_762383922_o
  3. Roast the gram flour till you get golden brown colored liquid batter. 14964222_10210950963800928_1829300034_o
  4. You will get a nice aroma from the mixture. On slow flame stir continuously around 15 to 20 mins.
  5. Once you get dark golden brown colour then switch off the flame.
  6. Add coarse grounded nuts and mix it properly.
  7. Stir the mixture in between and allow it to cool completely. .

  10. Garnish Ladoo with raisins and cashew.

How to make Crispy and Delicious Corn flakes Chivda / Spicy Mix

Corn flakes Chivda is spicy and crunchy snack can made any time. It is easy to make and has a very good shelf life.

Our Diwali is incomplete without this. Quick and easy to make spicy and crunchy Diwali snack… yumm

I will share the recipe with you.

Ingredients :

  • 340 gm Corn flakes Cereal
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Pinch of Asafetida
  • 3 to 4 Chopped Green Chilies
  • 10/12 Curry leaves
  • 1/4 Cup Peanuts
  • 1/4 Cup Daliya
  • 1/4 Cup Broken Cashew nuts
  • 1/4 Cup Sliced Coconut
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered Sugar
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a wide pan heat oil on slow flame.
  2. Add cumin seeds and Asafoetida.

  5. When the peanuts turn light brown, add sliced coconut and red chilli powder. 14877147_10210895024402478_1088725014_n
  6. Add Corn flakes Cereal and mix well.
  7. Add Powdered Sugar and Salt.

  9. Now switch off the gas.
  10. You can add Murmura or shev as per your choice (It is optional).

Let Chivda cool for some time. Store in airtight container.

How to make Crispy Sweet Shankarpali / Shakkar Pare ?

It’s a delicious, mouth melting, crispy traditional Maharashtrian sweet snack. It is usually made during Diwali festival. ???

Make and enjoy with cup of tea.

Sharing my simple recipe with you….

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • Pinch of salt
  • All purpose flour (Maida)
  • Ghee for deep frying

Method:

  1. Take milk and sugar in a wide bowl and mix well.
  2. Add ghee and beat well till you get a smooth texture.14800991_10210864943210467_1243821449_n
  3. Add pinch of salt.
  4. Now add a little flour at a time and start kneading the dough.
  5. Add more flour until you get a nice dough.The dough should not be too tight or soft.
  6. Cover the dough with wet cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.14872421_10210864943090464_699250698_n
  7. Once again kneed the dough. Divide it and make big circles with rolling pin.
  8. Cut into diamond or square shaped pieces using cutter or knife.

  10. On the other side heat the ghee in a kadhai on slow or medium heat for frying.
  11. Once ghee is hot enough, add pieces in the ghee.
  12. Fry till it become golden brown on slow flame.
  13. Remove Shakkar pare on paper towel and let it cool.

How to make Shahi Gulab Jamun using Gulab Jamun Mix

It turned out so soft and moist. Its a Quick and easy method to make jamun with very few ingredients. It is very delicious sweet and can be made instantly…

I am sharing my way of making delicious, mouthwatering Shahi Gulab Jamun ..

Its a detailed Recipe with step by step pictures. .

Ingredients :

To Make Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Pinch of saffron strands

Other Ingredients :

  • 150 grm Shahi Gulab jamun mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Ghee for deep frying

Method:

  1. To make sugar syrup take sugar and water in a pan. Boil it till you get 1 thread consistency on slow flame. 12071770_10208867657879582_333728403_n

  3. Take Shahi Gulab jamun mix in a bowl and add milk into the mixture and make a dough.

  6. In a deep fry pan heat ghee on slow to medium flame.

  8. Remove fried Gulab Jamuns from pan and add them into the sugar syrup.

How to make delicious Kesar Suji Halwa

Kesar Suji Halwa
Everyone’s all time favourite Kesar Suji Halwa is a very quick and easy dessert to make. Its very simple yet delicious in every bite with a delicious smell.  It is made on auspicious occasions like a pooja.  My kids love it and request me to make it again and again.

Here is the recipe want to share with you all…

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts like cashews and almonds
  • Few saffron stands (Kesar)
  • Some raisins

Method:

  1. Make hot milk and water (boiling), and keep aside.
  2. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of hot milk and keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan on slow flame.
  4. Add suji and roast till it change its colour to light golden brown.12546105_10208336959932465_737378055_o

  6. Pour hot milk and hot water carefully as it splutters. Add more hot water if required.12506990_10208336919771461_1858603432_n
  7. Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 min. The suji will soak all the water.

  10. Keep for some time then serve.

How to make two coloured coconut Laddus …yum

Coconut laddu’s are yummy and delicious. Its a mouth melting popular Indian sweet.

I made this to celebrate the  occasion of “Raksha Bandhan”.

Here is the recipe for you all

Ingredients :

  • 1 and 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup milkmaid
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp pink food colour (Optional)
  • 2 tbsp coarse grounded almond, pistachio nuts

For Garnishing

  • 4 tbsp desiccated coconut

Method :

  1. Heat a heavy bottom non stick pan on slow flame.
  2. Add desiccated coconut, milkmaid, sugar, milk, cardamom powder and food colour. .
  3. Mix it properly without any lumps.2016-08-18 10.12.50
  4. On a slow flame, stir continuously.
  5. Add ghee and coarse grounded almonds and pistachio nuts.2016-08-18 10.13.29
  6. Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.2016-08-18 10.12.17
  7. Now switch off the gas.
  8. Devide the mix into 2 equal parts. Add food colouring in one of the part and mix well.
  9. The mixture is ready to pour on a greased rectangular or square pan.20160817_171015
  10. Run a knife to cut in to pieces as it is cooling down. take one piece on your palm and roll it to make a ball.20160817_172553

I made this to celebrate the  occasion of “Raksha Bandhan”.

Here is the recipe for you all

Ingredients :

  • 1 and 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup milkmaid
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 tsp pink food colour (Optional)
  • 2 tbsp coarse grounded almond, pistachio nuts

For Garnishing

  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut

How to make Wheat Flour Pudding (Pithacha Sheera/ Aate ka Halwa)..

 My kids request me to make it again and again. I am sharing a simple way of making this quick and easy dessert …

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Wheat flour (Aata preferably coarsely ground)
  •  3/4 cup Ghee
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk + 1 cup Water
  • Pinch of  Cardamom powder
  • 1 tbs chopped nuts like cashews and almond
  • Some Raisins

  1. Make hot milk and water, and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan on slow flame.
  3. Add wheat flour and roast till it change its colour to brown.
  4. In that add crushed nuts and  roast for a min.
  5. Its time to pour hot milk and hot water carefully as it splutters. Add more hot water if required.
  6. Mix well and let it simmer for 1-2 min.
  7. Wheat flour will soak all the water and milk.
  8. Now add sugar and mix well till it leave the edge of the pan.

  10. Keep for some time then serve.

Crispy Methi Masala Puri and Diamonds

My kids all time favourite snack . It is easy to make and enjoy with cup of tea.

sharing simple recipe with you

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup all purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tbsp semolina (suji)
  • 1/2 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as required

  1. Take maida, suji, cumin seeds, kasuri methi, asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add oil, mix well till get crumbly texture.
  3. Now add little water at a time and start kneading the dough. Dough should not be too tight or soft.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Other side heat the oil in a pan on slow or medium heat for frying puri and diamonds.
  6. Once again knee the dough.
  7. Divide it and make big circle with rolling pin.
  8. Cut into circle shape using small round cutter.
  9. Cut into diamond shape using knife.
  10. Prick the puries and diamonds all over with a fork or spoon end.
  11. Keep pieces on dry cloth.
  12. Once oil is hot enough, add pieces in the oil.

How to make Fried Modak ..

Modak, a delicious sweet made with jaggery and fresh coconut filling. Its a traditional Maharashtrian  Ganesha’s favourite sweet.

I am sharing my way of making crispy fried Modak .

Recipe as follows..

Ingredients :

For Making the Filling

  • 1 Cup Fresh Grated Coconut
  • 1 Cup Grated Jaggery
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Poppy Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder

For Making Outer Cover

  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Semolina
  • 2 tbsp Melted Ghee or Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Oil for deep frying

Method:

Method of Making Inside Filling :

  1.  In the heavy bottom pan add  Ghee, Fresh Grated Coconut, Grated Jaggery and Poppy Seeds.
  2. Mix well.

  4. Cook on slow flame until jaggery melts and mixes with coconut.
  5. Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  6. Mix well and switch off the flame.
  7. Modak filling is ready to use.

Method of Making dough :

  1. In a big bowl take wheat flour, semolina and salt. Mix well. 2015-12-09 09.07.35
  2. Add oil or ghee, Mix well till get crumbly texture.
  3. Now add little water at a time and start kneading the dough. Dough should not be too tight or too soft.2015-12-09 09.08.59
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Dough is ready to use.

 

Method of Making Modak  :

  1. Once again kneed the dough.

  4. Add filling inside the shape.
  5. Bring together all the eges and make modak.
  6. Make all modaks.

 

Method of Frying Modak :
